The Association of the guides for pilgrims in the parish of Medjugorje was founded in 1991. From its beginning it has acted in accordance with the Shrine.

The guides have been prepared to work with pilgrims through necessary seminars and exams and have been educated to offer the reliable information and to provide service in close cooperation with the Information office of the Shrine.  Members of the Association are those who passed governmental exams for this service and they have valid approval from the competent Ministry in order to maintain the service previously mentioned.

The Association currently has 49 members and is able to offer services for pilgrims in Croatian, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Check and Slovak language.
